Profile:
Jasmine coordinates the library’s participation in orientation and other campus activities, manages the Undergraduate Library Advisors peer instructor program, and builds campus partnerships with related units and programs. She works with colleagues across the libraries to advise and provide recommendations for library programs and initiatives. Jasmine provides support for the libraries’ collaborations with various programs, including the Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars program and UF Innovation Academy, to create opportunities for student learning and success. Jasmine joined the George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida from Lake-Sumter State College in Leesburg, Florida, where she was a Reference and Instruction Librarian and co-chair for the Quality Enhancement Plan, coordinating and teaching library instruction, creating learning modules, designing assessment tools, developing trainings for faculty, and developing a robust program to integrate information literacy pedagogy into the classroom. She has held other positions, including Reference Librarian at Florida International University.
