How does VPN work?
The VPN allows your device to appear as if it is using UF’s Wi-Fi. UF Wi-Fi allows you access to library and other university resources. In other words, it creates a secure “tunnel” between you and UF online resources! Please remember that, unlike a personal VPN, the UF VPN does not make online activities private.
At UF, the information technology department is responsible for VPN applications. They offer support through UF Computing Help Desk.
